Friendly place to eat, dog friendly too. The food is really nice and is only a short walk down the bridle path from the property.

Just a 5 minute drive, or an easy 30 minute walk alongside the Cuckmere river, lies the Plough and Harrow pub. The Plough and Harrow offers great food and wine as well as at least 6 real ales at any one time, including some from the local Long Man Brewery. There's also a beer garden to the rear of the pub for summer use.
