Rainy day trip especially if your children are too small for a boat trip. This unique and welcoming small visitor centre recreates the Skelligs experience and has a nice cafe too.

This is good for a rainy day. Waterville Transatlantic Telegraph Station, The Ring of Kerry www.theringofkerry.com/waterville-station In 1884 the Commercial Cable Company laid two cables across the Atlantic connecting Canada, Britain and France all via a station in Waterville.

An excellent heritage centre and well worth a visit if you plan on heading out to the skellig islands.
