The Penang Aquarium is located within the Fisheries Research Institute complex nearby the Penang International Airport in Bayan Lepas. It also known as Akuarium Tunku Abdul Rahman. The Penang Aquarium has total around 25 tanks for various types of marine life such as lion fish, boxfishes, blue spotted stingrays moray eels, damsels , tangs, parrot fish, surgeon fish, cat sharks, stone fish, fox face fish, bivalves , angel fish, blue spotted stingray,squirrel fish, bivalves and more.

The Penang Aquarium officially known as Akuarium Tunku Abdul Rahman and often called the Fisheries Department Aquarium or Batu Maung Aquarium, is one of the tourist attractions in Batu Maung. This medium-size aquarium is located within the Fisheries Research Institute complex in Batu Maung, on the southeast tip of Penang Island.

The aquarium has a total of 25 tanks to showcase the large variety of marine life, the main attraction of the aquarium is the large tank with the measurement of 15ft by 10ft in one of the room.
