While it is stylish and comfortable, it also leaves you at nature's doorstep where you can explore all that the Alaskan wilderness has to offer: Summertime access to scenic hiking and biking trails; fishing on many nearby creeks & rivers; and accessible cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails in winter. You'll be a world away from it all, while still just 30 miles from the nearest town.

Nana's Cabin

Nana's Cabin is located on a private pond 4 miles from downtown. This charming log home was built by local builders for their mother. Guests can drive right to the front door. There is a full well equipped kitchen. Bathroom has tub w/shower, washer & dryer. One queen bed downstairs & a queen, a twin and 2 pull out beds upstairs. Note: The Denali National Park entrance is a 3 hour drive from Talkeetna! There is a 1/2 mile walking trail on the property and access to local bike and ski trails.

The area has trails that can take you to the river or just explore the woods of Alaska.

Its proximity to Denali State Park, Talkeetna, Trapper Creek, the historic Petersville Mining District, and backcountry hiking and ATV trails make this the ideal place to enjoy your real Alaskan adventure. A short 130 mi (209 km) drive makes the chalet an easy half-way rest stop when visiting Denali National Park from Anchorage. Unplug, unwind and enjoy Alaska!
