Drop Anchor is a 2 bedroom spacious residential home on the “Quietside” of Mount Desert island. You will be 5 minutes from Acadia National park. Bass Harbor headlight, Ship Harbor, Wonderland, and Seawall picnic area. Bar harbor is a 20 minute drive. Nearby is Archies lobster pound, Hansen’s seaside takeout (both walkable) and by car Thurstons lobster pound. And Seafood ketch. There are many other options in the neighboring town of Southwest Harbor.

Adorable Quietside Cabin

Welcome to the Quiet side of Mount Desert Island, With the same easy access to all of the wonders Acadia National Park has to offer. Why not stay on the less commercialized and more peaceful side of the island. This cozy tiny cabin is fully separate from the Main House. It has a private bathroom, kitchenette/dining area, and ample parking space. The main house is now also rented on Airbnb, the homeowner will still be available for any questions or help!

There is large stand up shower, a washer and dryer, and a cozy living room with wifi supported TV. Upstairs is a large bedroom with a queen bed. 2 Pets allowed. On the west (“quiet") side of Mount Desert Island, 2 min from Acadia NP hiking trails, Echo Lake Beach, downtown Southwest Harbor; 25 minto Bar Harbor. Our location is beautiful and quiet, surrounded by woods. Apt is on the 2nd level; it offers privacy: your own driveway, entrance and deck. It feels secluded. 2024: new deck and heat pump (air conditioning, no humidity!)
