Escape the city to your own private cabin in the woods. Within a 30-min drive, access skiing at Hunter Mountain, Windham Mountain, or numerous popular hiking trails in Catskill State Park. We are a short drive to scenic towns in the Catskills and Hudson Valley for shopping, restaurants, bars, antiquing, bookstores, vineyards, breweries, farm stands and local markets. Or stay in and just relax on the property with the spa amenities we offer. Perfect for a couples getaway or solo time to unwind.

Nestled among Hemlock trees & steps from a 30 ft waterfall is our cozy A-frame cabin. Sitting on 33 private acres connected to state land, enjoy waterfall views while sipping coffee in front of the fireplace. The casita was intentionally designed to feel like a home away from home. In summer, cool off in the waterfalls & private streams, in autumn take in the stunning foliage & in winter ski/snowboard at Belleayre (25 mins away). Alder Lake & the Pepacton Reservoir fishing are a 10 min drive.

Located minutes from Woodstock, Saugerties, and Kingston, this breathtaking hand-built cabin is close to all the Catskills and Hudson River Valley have to offer. Our little Cabin in the Woods is a cozy place to unwind, build a fire, and enjoy the nature that surrounds you. Wake up in the morning to deer and wild turkeys roaming in the forest outside, and enjoy your coffee in the sunroom, on the back deck or on a walk to nearby Cooper Lake. Downtown Woodstock is an 8 min drive, while other local favorites The Pines and Phoenicia Diner are within 15 minutes. Close by hiking trails abound as well, with the famous Overlook Mountain under 5 miles away.

Daydream on our hammock or dine alfresco taking advantage of our barbeque. On a clear night, it is easy to stargaze up through the tall trees, perhaps while toasting marshmallows fireside.

Lidar West

Lidar West is a unique mountain home located in the woods by one of New York City's major reservoirs. The main house is a 1400 sqft 2 bed, 2 bath, ideal for families with kids, and there's a sleeping cabin with an additional queen bed, electric heater, and wood burning stove called Hemmelig Rom, which I built myself using oak milled on the property.
