The Tower

The Tower is the perfect romantic high-end getaway for couples who want to get away from it all in a secluded location and fancy just something different. The Tower has recently been converted for use as a holiday let which was previously an unused ancillary building adjacent to The Water Works, an old water treatment plant near Bolsover, converted to domestic use in 2002 and featured on the Channel 4 programme Grand Designs. Self contained ground floor annexe in large house close to the City of Nottingham and beautiful Vale of Belvoir. Sleeps 2/3. Master bedroom (double) with en-suite wet room, single bedroom, separate shower room/wc, fully equipped kitchen/living room. Under floor heating, wi-fi, Cable TV with Movie & Sports channels. On-street parking only but directly outside the property. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, and for the protection of guests, we currently leave a minimum of 24 hours between bookings.

The Old Stable, a secluded annex in Langar

A relaxing place to stay in the Vale of Belvoir for up to four guests. With country walks and great village pubs in the surrounding area and close proximity to Langar Hall Hotel. The Old Stable is attached to the main house but has it’s own entrance via a shared courtyard. It is a two bedroom home with ample parking available. We are within 15 minutes of The Engine Yard at Belvoir Castle and within 30 minutes from Melton Mowbray, Grantham and Nottingham. A perfect location for any getaway.

Located in a small village with beautiful countryside views, this spacious, 150 year old character cottage is self-contained with a garden to the front and a courtyard to the rear. It has two bedrooms, a newly refurbished bathroom, beamed living room and spacious kitchen diner. The cottage is 7 miles north of Melton Mowbray on the Notts / Leics border. Originally converted from a barn in the 1850s, it has been recently refurbished to a high standard but still retains many original features.

TOTAL REFURBISHMENT MAY 2025 with new kitchenette, flooring, carpet, wood panelling. Separate from the main house with security gates and 24 hour CCTV, providing parking, an outdoor seating area and views over the paddock of sheep and free range chickens. Upton is a small village, two miles from Southwell, with country walks and a local pub serving hot food.

Cozy up by the open fire, or stroll to the nearby village pubs, and fantastic restaurants within walking distance. Only a brief drive from Sherwood Forest. Features a master bedroom with a king-sized bed, while bedroom 2 on a spacious upstairs landing with a double bed and antique privacy screen. Your stay includes a milk & free parking and a small basket of logs (1st October- 1st March).

The Barn is a rural retreat tucked away at the end of a quiet leafy lane in Colston Bassett in the heart of the beautiful Vale of Belvoir. Ideal for families, walkers, cyclists, gastro enthusiasts or perhaps those just looking to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, The Barn is a brand new, hand-crafted home built by the architect owner who lives in The Old Farmhouse next door. We also welcome well behaved dogs (we just request a modest fee of £20 per dog per stay)

Self contained annexe in the Vale of Belvoir.

Set in the Vale of Belvoir between Cropwell Bishop and Colston Bassett a self contained annex is offered. The house lies 20 minutes from the historic town of Newark, Nottingham and Melton Mowbray and is ideally placed for a day out exploring Belvoir Castle or Holme Pierrepont Country Park (a major water sport centre). The property backs onto the Grantham Canal providing excellent walks and a cycle route. A secure garage is offered for bicycles.

Sleepover with Miniature horse Basil

Basils Barn is situated on the grounds of a 17th century manor, surrounded by a picturesque 60 acre estate. The bedroom is directly attached to Basils stable, where there is a doorway in between the two spaces. In the paddocks we also have a herd of Highland cows, Hebridean sheep, horses, pigs, chickens and Norwegian Forrest cats. Our animals are mostly rescued and all of our animals are kept strictly as pets.
