Meat Cove Campground (Cabin #1, Bring Own Bedding)

Each camp cabin sleeps 3 people comfortably. Inside each cabin is one double/single bed (with mattress). A table and chairs and 6 foot shaded deck with table outside. The cabins have solar power. (Small lamp and a place to charge small devices. You must also bring all of your own bedding (sleeping bags, pillows, blankets, etc) and all of your own cooking supplies (pots/pans, cups, plates, silverware) These cabins do not have any plumbing or heat. Hot showers and flush toilets are below the cabin

Situated on a hillside overlooking the historic St. Ann’s bay, the Old Trail cabin is conveniently located just 5.5km from the start of the Cabot trail and the Gaelic College. A great spot to start or finish your Cabot Trail adventures! The cabin is designed to feel as open and airy as possible for a small space. The bedroom has a queen bed and the loft has a single bed. Kitchenette has coffee maker, toaster, mini fridge and microwave. All amenities needed are only 15 mins away in Baddeck.

The Cookhouse is very closeby with Wi-Fi, basic staples like coffee & tea, everything you need to cook and store your food, and board games. The Washhouse is also closeby, with heated eco-friendly bathrooms and showers. Free access to wood-fired sauna and snowshoes!

Cabot Trail Wilderness Cabin | The Canopy

The Canopy is the 2nd largest of the 3 wilderness cabins, and closest to the washrooms, nestled among the forest which leads down to the waterfront. All the cabins sleep two people, with a personal fire pit, bbq, kitchenette, drinking water (although no running water), and all the amenities needed to spend a few nights in nature. The shared outdoor bathroom has been hand crafted with lots of natural light, a composting toilet (i.e. non-flushing), hot water shower and two sinks.

The 540 square foot studio style cottage features a fully supplied kitchen, queen-size bed, living room with a sofa, dining area, bathroom and a large patio with a private hot tub along with a BBQ and fire pit. During your stay you will be able to enjoy an incredible view overlooking the gorgeous Bras d'Or Lake and the mountains in the distance from the floor to ceiling windows.
