Relax, explore and unwind in this large, cosy apartment on our organic farm, in the foothills of the Serra da Gardunha mountains. Spend the day kayaking, walking or cycling in the mountains, enjoying the largest spa in Portugal (20 mins), & exploring historic villages and cities, then come home to relax in a hammock in the orchard, soak up views from the bath, or chillout to vintage vinyl. We live on site, but the apartment is totally private, being the whole upper floor & with own entrance.

Surprada Farmstay

Surprada is a family-run farm with sweeping Mountain views. Our luxury one bedroom guest house includes a king-sized bed with organic linens, bathroom with rain shower, antique fireplace, spacious patio, and a fully equipped kitchen. Just steps away is a 15x4m saltwater pool with outdoor kitchen and bathroom. The house is carefully curated with the very best of sustainable Portuguese design, providing guests with a taste of the country’s craftsmanship and growing commitment to ethical living.

The Annex at Quinta Solar

An ideal location for exploring the area, the independent and private bedroom is set in a rural garden of olive trees, mandarins, almonds, grapes, and figs, surrounded by nature with mountain views of Serra da Gardunha and Serra da Estrela, the highest mountain range in Portugal. A queen-size bed, quality linen + bathroom & kitchenette. Hot shower, mini-fridge, mini stove ensure you can make the most of your stay. Gebaseerd op een typisch engelse Scheperds Hut hebben wij deze moderne variant zelf gebouwd. Eerst voor ons zelf en nu voor jullie. Nosso Chalé está inserido numa quinta vedada, com 3 hectares, situada dentro do Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela. Sitio calmo e tranquilo onde se pode apreciar a natureza e observar a fauna local, através de passeios pelo pinhal, ou optar seguir a ribeira até sua nascente. Também pode relaxar na nossa piscina. Ideal para descansar com a família ou amigos. Aceitamos todos os animais. A quinta, o Chalé, o jardim e a piscina são para uso exclusivo dos hóspedes.

Stairway to the Castle

Located in the historic village of Monsanto, the Most Portuguese Village in Portugal, the house was recovered from an old stone house, creating a rustic atmosphere, with the comforts of a current home. Being in the middle of the village, we easily meet the neighbors, hear birds or continue to climb to the Castle (since the house is on the way to the Castle).No access by car (parking 200 meters away)
