The Stables

Since converting our old stables it has been very popular with people visiting York and Harrogate which are both 20 minutes away.We are lucky to have some lovely local pubs/ restaurants in the nearby villages (10mins away) Within half an hour you can be in the Dales or the Yorkshire Moors - walking, visiting a National Trust property, or sampling a local pub or tearoom. The Stables are clean, cosy and comfortable, with modern, light rooms. The views overlook farmland - beautiful in the evenings.

Manor House Cottage self catering rural location

Manor House Cottage is located in the small hamlet of Holme-On-Swale 7 miles from the market town of Thirsk which is known for its connection to James Herriott and within easy reach of North Yorkshires National Parks. Set within the grounds of the Manor House, It is a quirky upside down cottage with a well appointed modern kitchen, two bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor with sitting room upstairs, private garden with table and chairs. There are no other holiday cottages in the grounds.

Grooms Cottage is on a private estate right next to the ruins of Sheriff Hutton Castle. The property is in a peaceful setting but only two minutes walk away from the village pub and post office/general store. Our cottage was completely renovated in 2021 and is in a great location for walkers, cyclists, and explorers. We look forward to welcoming you to our renovated Cow Byre just a short drive from Ripon. Separate to our main home, and having wonderful views, guests can visit nearby Fountains abbey, Brimham rocks, Grassington and lots of other lovely places of interest, as well as nearby walks. We have used high quality fittings throughout from Loaf seating, beautiful light fittings, Sophie Conran crockery, SMEG kettle and toaster, as well as featuring art by a local artist David Stead.
