See wild flowers, attracting hummingbirds, butterflies, and deer from your deck. Enjoy morning coffee on the deck , a stroll on the private walking trail; or a beverage stargazing by the fire pit. For the adventurer, both the Adirondacks and many famous Herkimer Diamond mines are only a short drive away!

Outdoor Sauna, Ski at Oak or Gore, & Private Chef

The Speculator Guest House is fully renovated to offer an elevated and thoughtful stay. Guests love the outdoor sauna, Sunday to Wednesday private chef brunch or dinner, espresso maker, fully stocked kitchen, and everything you need for a campfire under the string lights. Walk to the grocery store, restaurants, shops, or the sandy beach on Lake Pleasant (.6 miles). Each guest receives individualized local recommendations. We live in the area year round and love to share our favorite places.

***Guests must walk 420ft from the parking spot through the woods to reach the RV. There is a cart / sled for you to use. *In WINTER* The main trail will not be plowed. Our guesthouse is minutes from the interstate, but you'll swear that you've traveled far out in "God's country." Surrounded by many Amish neighbors, we are centrally located to Cooperstown, Howe Caverns, the Southern Adirondacks, Saratoga, Albany, Utica, and the Mohawk Valley (all within an hour's drive or less.) Enjoy a quiet retreat far off the road with authentic Amish furniture and decor and modern conveniences (washer & dryer, dishwasher, Keurig, AC/Heat, WiFi and streaming TV.)

We have over an acre of property with a private pond for your viewing, kayaking, fishing and swimming pleasure. Large camp in the Adirondack Mountains on 10 acres. Great property for large families. 4000 sq feet! All-season playground so bring your skis, snow shoes, bathing suits, hiking boots, golf etc... For those less adventurous just cozy up around the backyard fire pit in an adirondack chair. Short drive to multiple lakes, ski mountains, hiking trails, quaint village shops, and restaurants.
