Minutes away from Inverness, Cabot Links & the most beautiful beaches on our island This unit sleeps 4 comfortably but has the option to sleep 1 additional person on the couch if sharing a smaller space is not a concern We’re the perfect last stop when travelling the Cabot Trail from East to the West side of the island & we’re only a short drive to the mainland when leaving or if you prefer to start your Cape Breton adventure travelling up the west coast we are on your way to the Cabot Trail

Pack a bag and escape to The Tiny Home on East Lake! Located in East Lake Ainslie, on Cape Breton Island, we are close to Mabou, Whycocomagh, Margaree, and Inverness - home of the Cabot Links & Cabot Cliffs Golf Courses, as well as the most beautiful beaches. With direct access to the Trans Canada Trails, you can roam by foot or bring your ski doos/ATVs. As a tiny home would, it offers cozy living space, however, it has room to sleep 6 and offers you everything you need for your holiday away!

You'll love this spectacular, 2-cabin cottage overlooking the ocean! High ceilings, white-washed-boards interior, and lots of natural light. If you put your kids to bed early, the separate cabins are a big advantage. Huge bathroom has heated floors and ocean views. Enjoy a huge wrap-around deck. If you can tear yourself away, there are 3 beaches within 5 minutes and world-class golf at nearby Cabot Cliffs. 5 min to Cabot Trail and 30 min. to National Park. Agreement to be signed on booking.

Situated on a hillside overlooking the historic St. Ann’s bay, the Old Trail cabin is conveniently located just 5.5km from the start of the Cabot trail and the Gaelic College. A great spot to start or finish your Cabot Trail adventures! The cabin is designed to feel as open and airy as possible for a small space. The bedroom has a queen bed and the loft has a single bed. Kitchenette has coffee maker, toaster, mini fridge and microwave. All amenities needed are only 15 mins away in Baddeck.

Cabot Trail Wilderness Cabin | The Canopy

The Canopy is the 2nd largest of the 3 wilderness cabins, and closest to the washrooms, nestled among the forest which leads down to the waterfront. All the cabins sleep two people, with a personal fire pit, bbq, kitchenette, drinking water (although no running water), and all the amenities needed to spend a few nights in nature. The shared outdoor bathroom has been hand crafted with lots of natural light, a composting toilet (i.e. non-flushing), hot water shower and two sinks.

Our comfortable cottages afford wooded beauty and seclusion with the largest private natural beach on West Lake Ainslie. Only 15 minutes from amenities, golfing, whale watching, and much more. With a private beach and large firepit, groups and motorcycles are welcome. We participate in the Clean it Right program as well as being provincially inspected.

Welcome to our beautiful cabin located on hwy 4 only 13 min from Sydney River, 5min from the ski hill and benion marina, 1 min from the country market where you can get anything needed including a ice cream sore in summer and small liquor store. If you’re joining us in the summer we are only 1.5min from east bay sand bar an amazing beach and 3min from the walking trails:) complete with fire pit and large back deck.
