The Nissen

The Nissen is a spacious, light filled two bedroom holiday house overlooking the historic town of Castlemaine, aptly named for its resemblance to a World War II Nissen Hut. A beautiful, historic stone cottage in the heart of the gold fields. simply modernised to maintain an old world ambience and eclectically furnished with family heirloom furniture and special interest collections. It's the way we like it and I'm sure our guests will too. Come for a relaxing weekend, winter or summer, enjoying the surrounding nature and wildlife. Fully equipped small kitchen, central bathroom, lovely large old rambling garden with enclosing wire fences. Kids and dogs welcome.

Views extend across the ecovillage property to the surrounding bush. The centre of town, including the Castlemaine train station and a fantastic selection of cafes, restaurants and cultural attractions, is just a 15-minute walk.

Pemberley Cottage is a tranquil self-contained accommodation experience located on a 700 acre grazing property just outside the quaint village of Malmsbury in the Macedon Ranges The stylish cottage provides spectacular water, mountain & farm views; the perfect place to unwind, soak in the outdoor bath, bask in the views or use as a base to explore nearby Kyneton & Daylesford. A gorgeous, gently restored miners cottage set in a tranquil location, Shepherds Hill Cottage is part of a working alpaca farm. The secluded cottage has it's own private garden and is right next to the alpaca nursery paddock, so expect to see lots of crias (baby alpacas)! The cottage is conveniently located, 10mins to Kyneton, 15mins to Trentham, 20 mins to Daylesford and 1hr 15mins to Melbourne.
