Take a trip back in time and sleep inside a 12c castle. Enjoy quiet romantic nights of stargazing in the garden with a glass of wine. The townhouse has a private walled garden with trees. The three floors include a fully outfitted kitchen/dining room, sitting room, baths and bedroom with a terrace, and a living room with a sweeping view of Spain from the balcony. The house has a modern kitchen/bath (and furnished with antiques. The house is inside the Castle walls. No parking allowed in castle.

Tapada da Raia

Tapada da Raia has 35 acres of land, in the Natural Park of Serra de São Mamede (being the last Portuguese house, because it is bordered to Spain). For years it served as an anti-stress refuge for the family, who today decided to open the doors for those who want to spend relaxing days in the nature. This is not an Hotel. It is a paradise for those seek to unplug and reconnect to a slower pace of life while experimenting with off-grid living: solar electricity for lights, solar and firewood heating systems, low pressure water system, compost toilet, no mobile or internet networks available inside the house. You will have access to a splash tank, food garden, trekking paths and a small waterfall.

Our little stone cottage lies on a stream and has views of the beautiful hills and meadows full of olive and cork trees. In the garden you will find some fruit trees, herbs and flowers. Not far there is a nice waterfall to enjoy hot summer days. This is a peaceful place to relax. Here you can get immersed in nature's beauty, enjoy the sky full of stars and listen to the sheep's bells chiming.
