The Little House Peaceful & self-contained

Located in the centre of the lovely village of Kilburn on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, the Little House is peaceful, cosy and self-contained, tucked away from the general hustle and bustle of the village with a safe garden for dogs and children. The Forresters Arms, serving local ales and meals, is a mere 20m across the square, it is best to reserve a table. The Mouseman Furniture Centre is just around the corner and the White Horse of Kilburn is a good walk up the hill.

The Pines Treehouse is nestled underneath a huge oak tree sitting high above the running water of Sand Beck. Nature cocoons you and you can reach out and touch the trees, see wildlife all around you amongst the pines. Situated above a quaint tearoom, "Hearts of Ampleforth" originally the village shop dating back to the 1800s, in the picturesque village of Ampleforth. The Domesday Book mentions the village in 1086 as Ampreforde, translated as the Ford of the Sorrel. The book of the same title is just one of the books on our well stocked book shelf for our guests to learn more about the area.

Husthwaite is a quaint village 17 miles North of York and just off the A19 . The cottage is tucked away on a private drive. We are close to the North York Moors perfect for scenic country walks. The village has a Church, St. Nicholas' dating from the twelfth century next to the Village Green which forms the centre of the village. Our local pub The Plum & Partridge is just 5 mins walk where they serve great beer and fabulous food.
