The house was build by Thomas Bain in 1862 while he was building the Prince Alfreds Pass and have original yellow wood floors and ceilings which we are still busy restoration. Off grid cabin for 2 in the Langkloof

A mountain retreat for artists, lovers, writers, gardeners, hikers, birders, farmers, adventurers and all in pursuit of peace and beauty. Please note: 4x4 or capable high clearance vehicle required. Getting here is part of the adventure! The farm is only 5km off the R62 but this is a gravel mountain pass that requires the right vehicle. If you are travelling in a normal car or small SUV please reach out to make alternative arrangements for this last part of your journey.

Suikerbossie Mountain Cabin
