Big R's Retreat Secluded and located in Nature

Welcome to our home: where we have found peace and relaxation for over 20 years. A German native, Big R fell in love with the open land and rolling hills of Wisconsin, becoming a US citizen in the 80s. He met Curly, a Chicago city girl, who brought a little city to his country life. They enjoy raising buffalo and spending warmer days on their porch enjoying the fresh air and beautiful views (with no mosquitos!). Now they want to share their idyllic and peaceful home with you. Drive down a dead-end road and pull up to a rustic cabin filled with high-tech and cozy amenities. We have something for everyone with a gas fireplace, tv (complete with dish, Cinemax, HBO and a Bluetooth sound system), board games and a full kitchen. Take a drink outside to soak in the hot tub or sit around the campfire. When the day is done, you will fall asleep instantly on the memory foam bed, either in the loft or the bedroom, and wake up to a beautiful sunrise looking out over your little getaway.

Tiny on the River

According to Forbes, Escape makes "the most beautiful tiny houses in the world". Ours is perched near our home above the Black River. It's a quiet neighborhood just minutes from the interstate, parks, trails, and our vibrant downtown with cafés, shops, and great restaurants. Enjoy privacy and breathtaking views from the enormous windows or the cozy daybed on the porch! Deer, beaver, eagles, and more make frequent cameos as the seasons paint shifting riverscapes and astonishing sunsets. *No Pets

Mansion on Lake Tainter, sleeps 28, Jacuzzi tub

This stunning lakefront Mansion is perfect for family gatherings, reunions, weddings, and retreats, just 90 min from MSP airport, 45min from Eau Claire airport . Sleeps 20 in 5 private suites (3 kings, 2 queens) plus a kids’ bunk room; add 2 more bedrooms for 6-8 extra guests. Enjoy a chef’s kitchen, 8 fireplaces, enormous game room, 10 TVs, complimentary kayaks, and a pontoon rental available . Summer offers boating and fishing, winter brings cozy fires, sledding, ice fishing and snowmobiling.

YurtCation

YurtCation is an off-grid getaway with lake frontage and nature trails. There is another yurt about 300ft up the same driveway. There are a total of two yurts and two homes that have access to the same 17 acre lake. Each yurt has their own queen-sized comfy bed, wood stove, Weber grill w/charcoal, fire pit, firewood, fresh water, canoe, and clean Porto Potty. The yurts are about 80 feet from the lake’s ordinary high water mark to comply with zoning. We are fully permitted and have many repeats.

Larsen Rustic Secluded Log Cabin W/Outdoor Hot Tub

Secluded cabin hike the trails to the cave and ponds. Close to trout fishing stream or Mississippi for fishing. Bring you UTV and ride the private trails $30 per driver and 10 per passenger or rent an UTV 300.00 per day Approx 15 miles from Priarie Du Chein, close to canoe outposts for the Kickapoo, Wisconsin river. Has a gas ,charcoal grill,fire pit, pool table, fooseball, ping pong table. Smart TV Private UTV trails are closed Oct 15th thru mid Jan for hunting. Access to public UTV trails.

Funky, tidy 23 year old country cabin on 120 acres of farmland & woods in a private, quiet rural setting. It's cozy, 950 sq ft, built with stone and wood. Open concept with a two story fireplace, porch fireplace, firepit, and open loft for sleeping (1 bed), with spiral stairs, lots of windows, walnut floors and trim, oak beams and pine kitchen tops. Shower is big and open, with doors opening to a back deck for outdoor showering. Beautiful covered porch overlooking rolling meadows and woods.

Ellison Bay Eclectic Style Cottage

Located just minutes from downtown Ellison Bay, this eclectic cottage offers convenience to attractions and dining, while providing a private sanctuary-like experience! The home boasts two (2) master suites- each with private bath, as well as studio above garage (3 bedrooms total). The entire home is furnished with all of the items needed for a true Door County vacation: Firepit/place, bbq, outdoor shower, bocce court, bicycles, and stand up paddle boards! New hot tub! This is a quaint little cabin on the Flambeau River just outside of Ladysmith, WI (flambeau translastes to flaming torch) It is a clean space with rustic charm. It has a fully equipped kitchen, stove and fridge. A gas fireplace is the centerpiece of the living room. Snuggle up on the sofa or recliner, turn on the fireplace, and relax. There is one bedroom with a memory foam mattress. A loft with a sleeper couch. Free amenities, including cleaning. No pets and no smoking at any time please.
