An oak framed loft apartment is above a large garage which is accessed by stairs with a balcony for tree level seating. The space is not attached to our house and has separate access. The pitched roof gives the apartment a feeling of space and light, with underfloor heating to keep it cost in the winter months. The outside space is ideal if you want some fresh air. We are in a rural location with no amenities, although the nearest village is only two miles away. We have natural spring water too

There is also a wood burning stove to keep you cosy. We are in a quiet village called East Cottingwith: a fantastic base for visiting York and touring Yorkshire. Ideal for cyclists, bird watchers, walkers and anyone who wishes to enjoy a rural location close to the attractions of the city of York. There is no regular public transport.

Crumbleclive is a beautifully restored 100 year old cabin set within the dramatic backdrop of Crunkly Ghyll. It was originally the ‘Gun Room’ for the local estate in the 1890s! The Cabin has a balcony overlooking the gorge with the River Esk rapids visible at the bottom. Surrounded by Oak trees you will feel amongst the treetops as birds gather on the branches around you and fly through the gorge below. Cosy central heated Wooden log cabin/lodge surrounded by beautiful countryside views. Ideal for those wanting to be a mile from our local village but in a quiet area. Walks for all abilities from our doorstep. Two medium sized dogs are welcome. Local pubs are dog friendly and we have lots of places to eat locally. Amazing views, a wood burning stove, a very comfy four poster king sized bed and a fantastic shower have all been in 5* feedback left by many satisfied guests.
