A precious story of craft traditions
The artisan tradition of gold and jewels of Vicenza has its roots in Roman times and has remained an identifying trait of the city to this day.
Alongside the large producers who make the city the most important Italian goldsmith centre, there are also historic craftsmen's shops, some of which offer workshops to try their hand at the production techniques of jewels or the possibility of seeing the artisans' laboratories. To complete an immersive experience in the goldsmith tradition of Vicenza, there is nothing better than a visit to the Jewellery Museum in the city centre, which displays an extraordinary collection of goldsmith artefacts over the centuries.

Palladian Basilica
One of the most representative works of the genius of Palladio, as well as a symbol of the city of Vicenza, the building dominates Piazza dei Signori, the heart of the city. Teatro Olimpico Inspired by the theaters of antiquity, this Renaissance jewel is a feast for the eyes, thanks also to the perspective games. Palazzo Chiericati One of the largest buildings on which Palladio worked, today houses the Pinacoteca di Vicenza, with extraordinary works by Venetian and international masters. Resident in Torri di Quartesolo, near Vicenza, where the laboratory and studio are located. Since 1990 she has been making contemporary jewels, unique pieces published in magazines and exhibited in numerous art galleries and collaborates as a designer with goldsmith companies.
In her activity the didactic part has developed more and more, carried out in the form of workshops of different lengths.Daniela Vettori
Since 1981 she has been handcrafting jewels in gold, silver and precious stones, reworking ancient goldsmith techniques.
During the visit to our laboratory it is possible to see the fusion of gold, the manual drawing of the silver thread, discover the working of the beating and the 'on fire' one and the ancient technique of lost wax.Soprana dal 1910
Historical activity with more than 100 years for family tradition, the Soprana shop and laboratory are located in the premises under the Palladian Basilica. A line of "Loving Palladio" jewelry has also been created in honor of Palladian architecture. In these spaces, already used for the gold trade since 1770, they organized also visits by reservation to the goldsmith's workshop.
