Wonderful light hiking trail around a beautiful lake nestled in the Berkshires, and is part of the Appalachian Trail.

This is an easy loop hike that joins up with the Appalachian Trail for a short while. There is a small beach located at the state park as well.

An excellent town beach type place in the midst of Beartown State Forest, where there are likewise great hikes. Also wonderful skating in winter, often on black ice.

Benedict Pond is a great place to swim. It's a beautiful drive getting there. The pond is located inside Beartown State Park but drive through Stockbridge for a better ride as the Lee entrance is a rough road.
