Runway Park at GMU is free to use and open to the public. Runway Park is approximately 1.38 acres, has an educational amphitheater, exercise "Perimeter Taxiway" and walking "Runways", as well as aviation themed playground equipment, a swing set, airplane wings bench shade structure, a Bi-plane "Climber", a picnic hangar, benches, restrooms, water fountains and a Cessna 310 static display. A redecorated 15-foot cross section of a Boeing 737 fuselage and community supported park pavers make up the handicapped accessible park entrance.

This is a fantastic playground for kids! It's plane themed and has plenty of space for them to run around. You can also grab lunch at Runway Cafe next door.

Located adjacent to the runways of the Greenville Downtown Airport (GMU), this small park has an educational amphitheater, exercise "Perimeter Taxiway," and walking "Runways", as well as aviation-themed playground equipment, a swing set, a Bi-plane "Climber", a picnic hangar and a Cessna 310 static display. A 15-foot cross section of a Boeing 737 fuselage is in the process of being transformed into a handicapped accessible park entrance.

Every kid's favorite park in Greenville! Located at the airport downtown, kids can watch the planes take off and land while playing! Completely fenced in, paved pathway throughout for walking, riding, running, etc. Restaurant on site with sandwiches and burgers.
