Just ONE mile north of my neighborhood - a peaceful, quiet forest inside of the city! I recommend a hat/sunglasses on sunny days because some trails are in the open prairie. You will find other links on their website for trails and site-seeing.

Mid-July thru August, flowers will be in the peak of their bloom at Havenwoods State Forest! Truly an incredible park to do some hiking. The orange loop takes about 45 minutes to hike - highly recommend! Don’t miss the cool floating pier within the park. Can you find it?
