Within a few minutes walk from the flat, across the Richmond bridge, the factory is a charity helping ex-military service people and produces the red poppy worn in remembrance of those who have lost their lives in active service. The red poppies are distributed nationally each year from this factory. Guided tours can be arranged from Monday to Thursday, starting at 10.30am or 14:00pm. The tour takes about 2 hours including tea and biscuits. If you require something a bit more substantial, they can provide a lunch in their staff canteen for afternoon tours, served at 1.15pm. Tours with lunch booked start after 2pm.
