Maybe without even realizing it, you've already seen this beach. It is an iconic image of Hawaii beauty and the reality does not disappoint. The softest sand, the bluest water, the loveliest vibe. Just know that parking is tough, it has no restroom/shower facilities, and no food is available close-by.

The most iconic portion of Kailua Bay, Ka'ohao (the original name for Lanika) boast spectacular views of the Mokulua (two islands). The best time to enjoy the beach is in the weekday to avoid weekend traffic from locals and tourists alike. Parking can be challenging on nice sunny days especially on the weekend.
