The view of Durango from the top of "Hogsback" is one of the best vantage points in town. It's a quick but intense hike. Once you reach treeline, the pitch steepens and while a little exposed, the effort is well worth it. Take water and a snack.

Multiple trail heads on the west side of town. You can bike for miles or hike the hogs back and look out over town and the valley.

Nearby access to Overend Mountain Park (known to locals as "Test Tracks"), a great spot for a hike, trail run or mountain bike ride.

One of the best mountain bike areas in Durango. Well maintained trails and great views of the city and Animas Valley (Where the Woodshop is based). Our personal trail recommendations? Ride Hidden Valley to Star Wars. Looking to be adventurous? Ride Hogsback for sustained uphill, exposed switchbacks and gritty downhill.
