Our local beach where the wife and families of the army folks set up shop and serve Thai food and beer while you laze around in bamboo huts overlooking the lake. Nice family day out and very safe for toddlers while swimming

Huay Tung Tao is a reservoir on the outskirts of Chiang Mai easily accessible by songtaew. Swim in the lake or relax in one of the small huts that surround the water and order lunch or drinks. The scenery is stunning and a great place to visit if you are wanting to escape the heat and bustle of Chiang Mai!
