Great for the usual beach activities with the bonus of shell, pebble and fossil collecting. Where the locals go. Dogs allowed in Summer months from the fish & chips shop to Sewerby and beyond.

Bridlington north beach is one of two beaches in this popular seaside town in East Yorkshire. The north and south beaches are divided by the harbour and both are very different. The south beach is a larger stretch of golden sand whereas the north beach has more pebbles. There is still plenty of sand for building sandcastles and even at high tide there’s a section of beach that never gets covered by the sea. At top end of the north beach near the harbour, you will find many traditional fairground rides. The rides are run by two different companies with two different token systems so make sure you choose which rides you prefer before you purchase your tokens. There are also some large amusement arcades here with bowling, a cinema, crazy golf and plenty of places to purchase traditional seaside food. In the middle of the stretch of north beach, you will find the leisure centre. From here you can get one of two land trains up to Sewerby Hall and Gardens. The leisure centre has a fantastic pool and a clip n’ climb. There is then a long promenade going up to Sewerby. Along here there are public toilets, the lifeguard station, a cafe, another crazy golf course, then fish and chips, another cafe and beach huts which you can hire. The beach here stretches on and on and the further along you walk the more chance you’ll have of finding some rock pools.
