The Civic Theatre Newcastle is one of Australia's great historic theatres and hosts a wide range of musicals, plays, concerts, dance and other events each year in the nation's seventh largest city. The 1450-seat Civic Theatre Newcastle is funded by The City of Newcastle as a key cultural institution for the city. It is a heritage-listed site, designed by prominent architect Henry White and opened in 1929.

Enjoy wonderful shows for the entire family. The Clarendon Hotel is attached to the Civic Theatre so you can enjoy a meal prior to the show and continue your night with a beverage after.
