Port Arthur Historic Site is a wonderful destination to learn about Tasmania's rich history. There's also a cafe, restaurant and gift shop as well as the 'Ghost Tour' for those brave enough!

Taking about 1hr 20mins from Cambridge, if you enjoy historic sites, this is certainly worth a visit.

Port Arthur is a world heritage listed Australian Convict site. Now an open air museum consisting of over 30 buildings across 136 hectares. A must see in the area.

Check out The Lavender Farm on the way. 1 Hr 15 mins drive, make sure you spend the whole day there, so much to see. Food available there or take your own picnic.
