Great surf shop that also rents kayaks that you can take out back and up a river. You can also rent SUP in a great area to use them (usually calm waters).

If you are interested in surfing but not fully committed or a little scared to take a lesson, rent a stand-up paddle board from Surf n’ Sea in Haleiwa ($20/hour) and paddle in the calm and very scenic Haleiwa river. You’ll be able to stand up on a surfboard without ever having to catch a wave.
