Around Plaza de Armas you can find local people selling old books, coins, old lp's and such things on the street. It is also very close to Castillo de la Real Fuerza which is a nice small castle, a museum at the same time which has a beautiful view of the sea and the city. A good place to rest during your visit to old Havana.
Is a really nice square location " Plaza de Armas " Is surrounded by great cafes, shops and a cool vintage fleet market . It fallow the European traditional plazas . You can buy really some cool antique local souvenirs .The are also books and posters here . But the coolest things are the old relics knick knacks .Easy to found and well worth the visit
This square was used for military exercises during part of our colonial history. Now is a nice an enjoyable green spot, with many important places on each side: the Palace of the General Captain (now a museum), the Royal Force Castle (now, the Submarine Archeology Museum), and the former US Embassy (now the National Museum of Natural History). The square is also a gathering point for sellers of old books and antiques. Also, it's a common stage for the National Concert Band performances.

This where the fist mass was held upon the foundation of the village San Cristobal de la Havana. Culture, history, beliefs , religious, tradition and myths are packed on this charming square. A great start point for a guided walking tour of the city.
