It's a landmark and honors the original True Grit movie with lots of memorabilia of John Wayne and western movies of that era, including the late Dennis Weaver, a former resident of Ridgway. The inside brick wall appears in the opening scene of True Grit when Rooster Cogburn arrives with the prison wagon. This is an undeniable landmark in Ridgway that has shown a lot of staying power over the decades. Themed after John Wayne, star of the movie True Grit which was filmed in and around Ridgway in the 1960's, this place has some character! I would stop in for a drink and maybe try the wings, but not much else! Be sure to watch the film True Grit first to fully appreciate the experience!
