An old fortress with 360º views over dowtown Funchal! A great place to see the fireworks, namely the Festival do Atlântica that occurs every year in June (on Saturdays).

Wonderful café within 2 min of walking distance. Cozy atmosphere and with a view over the bay of Funchal. Great to have a coffee or a snack!

São João Baptista Fort is Funchal "ex-libris". From here you can see Funchal from above and the view worths the visit.
