Check the tide schedule before taking the hike to the waterfall. Check for beach closures due to elephant seals taking over to give birth (spotted early February).

A visit to this pristine national sanctuary is 18 miles away, about a 40 minute drive.

We live in the Park and it’s full of wonderful hikes, beaches, and wildlife viewing opportunities.

Dedicated by President Kennedy in 1963, this is the most beautiful natural area of sea and trails (I think) in the world. See elk, whales, dolphin, seals, coyotes, bobcats, sometimes mountain lions. The Visitors' Center in Olema has displays of animals in the area, geological and cultural history of the area, and a reconstructed and accurate Miwok Indian Village Kule Lokwe. This is a must-see.
