Visit 'Casa Matilde', our beautiful yurt set in a family friendly environment on a terraced former vineyard above the stunning River Zezere. Experience off-grid living with the comforts of modern living thanks to solar technology. Decorated with a Moroccan theme, this light and airy space is also very cozy & romantic. Enjoy views of the river from the decking/yoga space or the bed. The yurt is in its own private garden space on a terrace surrounded by impressive schist stone walls & grape vines.

A 40m2 self-contained apartment on the ground floor of a traditional stone built farmhouse in a tranquil rural location. The apartment features a bedroom/living room with king side bed, sofa, smart TV, built in wardrobe, and dining table. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a wet-room and decked terrace with parasol and outdoor dining table. From May to October guests have use of a 6m x 3.75m pool and sun deck shared with the host who lives on site and guests in one other 2 person accommodation.

Castanheira de Pera is a wonderful place to explore this lovely area from. Praia das Rocas is just five minutes away. Visit the romantic shist villages in the Lousa mountains, the historic country towns nearby, swim in the small river beaches or boat on the nearby lake. Just step outside the house onto long walking trails, go cycling on the forest tracks or just sip a glass of local wine and enjoy the unbelievable views. There are summer festas and weekly markets in most of the local villages.
