Giuseppe Garibaldi, stayed there in 1884 to recover with the aid of the thermal waters from the wounds suffered during the battle of Aspromonte. Local bar, patisserie, grocery store and wine shop are within walking distance along with restaurants, pizzeria and two of the most suggestive beaches of the island: the one of “Pozzo Vecchio”and the beach of Ciraccio which gives the name to the area.

In the heart of an old farmhouse dating back to the 19th century, the lodgings of IL MELOGRANO have been created. ROOTS is a cozy studio/ annexe obtained from the master bedroom of the ancient nucleus. The studio that still retains the flavor of the traditional peasant architecture of the island is completely independent, equipped with a kitchenette, private bathroom and habitable lodge. Wifi and air conditioning are available for guests.
